My library is empty, or I lost my code
Your purchase is not gone. Open your library and use Restore: enter the email you paid with and either the receipt number from your payment email or the last 4 digits of your card. Everything you bought with that email comes back in a few seconds.
This happens when a browser forgets: clearing history or cookies, private browsing, a new phone, or Safari clearing data from sites you have not visited for a while. Restore works every time, on any device.
I bought inside TikTok or Instagram
Those apps open links in their own small browser, and it forgets everything when the app closes. Right after you pay, copy or email your code from the library. Then open the library in Safari or Chrome and paste it, or use Restore.
I paid but never saw my files
If the page closed or your signal dropped right after paying, nothing is lost. Use Restore in your library with the email you paid with. If it still does not work, send a signal and we fix it by hand.
Saving the PDF or EPUB on an iPhone or iPad
In your library, tap Download PDF (or EPUB). When it finishes, tap the share icon and choose Save to Files, or open it in Books. On a single file, use Save / Share, then Print it, then pinch out on the preview and share it as a PDF.
Reading on a Kindle
Download the EPUB from your library, then send it with Amazon’s free Send to Kindle page or app (or email it to your Kindle address). Amazon converts it for you. Do not send the PDF; it is designed for print and reads small on a Kindle.
Saving on Android or a computer
Tap Download PDF or EPUB in your library. The file lands in your Downloads folder. On Android you can also tap Send the PDF to share it to Drive, Gmail or any app.
What does the charge look like?
Your bank statement should show OBSIDIAN REGISTRY. Payments run through Stripe’s checkout (sometimes shown as Link), so some banks add “Stripe” or “Link” next to the name. The receipt email comes from Stripe.
Why is the total a little higher than the price?
Prices are before sales tax. Checkout adds the tax your state or country requires, and Stripe collects and pays it. You see the exact total before you pay.
I bought one file, then the whole volume
Upgrade within 14 days and we refund the smaller purchase. Send a signal with the email you paid with and both receipt numbers. Details are in the Refund Policy.
Is this all true?
Every file is original fiction built on real, cited records. The events in the sources are real and linked. The characters, their families and their endings are made up. The True Crime section is the exception: it is factual, and free. More in the Disclaimer.
Refunds
Double charges, upgrade credit, and anything that does not work are refunded. Lost codes are restored, not refunded. The whole policy is short: Refund Policy.
Still stuck?
