How the Archive works

Read it like evidence, because part of it is.

01

The intake record

Where the file was found, what was inside, and its current status. Read it first. It is the last time anything will feel normal.

02

The recovered file

A story, a transcript, a set of witness statements, a device log. Real history runs through it, marked in red, so you always know which parts are on the record.

03

The sources

Every real claim is numbered and cited: government reports, court records, journals, museum catalogues. Check them. We want you to.

04

The archivist's note

The last thing the Archive knows. It is not always true. Compare it to the sources. Readers who do are the ones who sleep worst.

FAQ, or: emails we get at 3 a.m.

Before you email us.

Is any of this real?

The records are. Every file is built on documented history: declassified programs, court rulings, scientific papers, museum objects, government reports. Each real fact is numbered and cited at the end of the file. What happens to the people inside those records is where the citations stop. We can't claim those parts are true. Read the sources, then use your own judgment.

Why does it feel like I shouldn't be reading this?

Because most of what is in here was never meant to reach you. It was buried in footnotes, sealed in archives, settled out of court, or laughed off on the evening news. The Archive puts it back in one place and asks the question nobody else will: what would you have done?

Where do I start?

File 027 is free and unsealed. Read it tonight. If it does what it is supposed to do, you will not need us to tell you what to do next.

Do I have to read in order?

No. Every volume stands on its own, and every file stands on its own. But the Archive was arranged deliberately. Readers who go in order notice things readers who skip around do not.

Who is this for?

Readers 18 and older who like their horror true-adjacent, their history uncensored, and their endings unresolved. If you need a happy ending, this is the wrong archive.

What do I actually get?

Each file is a complete story with an intake record, the recovered document, a full list of cited sources, and an archivist's note. Buy one file, one volume, or the complete Archive. Your purchase is yours to keep and read on any device.

Do I need an account?

No. No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies. At checkout the payment processor asks for an email, only for your receipt and your unlock link. We are not that kind of website.
