SCRIPT. VIDEO 211. "HITLER'S ESCAPE: WHAT THE FBI KNEW."
[COLD OPEN. DRONE SHOT OF PATAGONIAN LAKE.]
April 30, 1945. Adolf Hitler shoots himself in his bunker under Berlin. That's the story, right? That's what they taught you.
But the FBI kept investigating. For years.
[GRAPHIC: FBI VAULT DOCUMENTS.]
These are real. The FBI's own files, released to the public, include letters, newspaper clippings, and tips claiming Hitler escaped. One informant told a Los Angeles newspaper that he was one of four men who met Hitler when two submarines landed in Argentina. He said he was paid fifteen thousand dollars to keep quiet.1
[BEAT.]
Then the reporter couldn't find him again. Ever.
